The Law Society’s Legal Technology Committee

The Law Society's Legal Technology Committee acts to "encourage the adoption and use of electronic communication services by and for the legal profession."

In 2008, matters of consideration included:

  1. Electronic Conveyancing;
  2. Electronic Court Services; and
  3. Electronic Discovery.

I am pleased to announce my re-appointment to the Law Society's Legal Technology Committee for 2009.

Further, I warmly encourage Law Society members to raise relevant feedback or questions for consideration by the Committee.

    Much of the Law Society’s policy development work is carried out by committees of the Council appointed by a selection panel chaired by the President Elect. Generally the committees are chaired by a Councillor and have powers delegated to them by Council. The primary role of most committees is to advise and assist Council in policy development and to ensure that the Society and its members are appropriately informed of any developments affecting the law, and their practices.
